Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of pattenlabs.com and the Patten Labs product suite (Cortivex, Synapse, OddRune, Houseproof, Casemoat, ConveyWorks, and related engines — the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

AI-powered software-as-a-service tools for business intelligence, estimation, proposals, property data, settlement workflows, title operations, and related decision-support tasks. Each product may have additional product-specific terms surfaced inside that product.

You must be 18+ and able to form a binding contract. You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Notify us atlegal@pattenlabs.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You agree not to (a) reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Services; (b) use the Services to violate any law or third-party right; (c) upload malware, illegal content, or content you don't have the right to upload; (d) abuse rate limits or attempt to overload our infrastructure; (e) use the Services to build a competing product.

Paid plans are billed via Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. You authorize us to charge your payment method on file. Refunds are at our discretion except where required by law. Failed payments may result in suspension after 7 days' notice. Prices may change with 30 days' notice for current subscribers.

You retain ownership of everything you submit to the Services ("Your Content"). You grant Patten Labs a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to deliver the Services to you. We do not use Your Content to train public models without explicit opt-in.

The Services generate AI outputs based on your inputs. AI outputs are probabilistic and may be wrong, incomplete, or biased. You are responsible for reviewing AI outputs before relying on them. Outputs are not legal, tax, financial, medical, or professional advice. Specific product-level disclaimers (e.g. Houseproof tax briefs, ConveyWorks title documents) apply on top of these Terms.

Patten Labs and its licensors own the Services, including all software, models, prompts, design systems, and trade dress. No rights are granted by implication. The Patten Labs and Cortivex names + logos are trademarks of Patten Labs LLC.

The Services integrate Stripe (payments), Supabase (data), Vercel + Cloudflare (hosting), and LLM providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google). Their terms apply to their portions of the stack. We're not responsible for outages or data handling by upstream providers beyond what our subprocessor agreements require.

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT AI OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PATTEN LABS' TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES IS CAPPED AT THE GREATER OF (A) $100 OR (B) THE FEES YOU PAID TO PATTEN LABS IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. IN NO EVENT IS PATTEN LABS LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS OR DATA.

You agree to indemnify and hold Patten Labs harmless from any third-party claim arising from (a) Your Content, (b) your use of the Services in violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right.

You can cancel anytime from your account settings or by emailinglegal@pattenlabs.com. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice unless an emergency makes that impractical. Sections 6–14 survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration under the AAA Commercial Rules, seated in Travis County, Texas, conducted in English. You and Patten Labs waive jury trials and class actions. Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for IP claims. If arbitration is unavailable, exclusive venue is the state and federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.

We may update these Terms; the "Last updated" date above will reflect the new version. Material changes get an email to your account address at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date = acceptance.
